On Saturday, 24 October 2026, the Faculty of Law held the XV Scientific Conference on the Occasion of the Day of the Faculty of Law on the general theme “Law Between Truth and Certainty“. The Conference was attended by 276 participants from 40 countries from five continents (Russia, Greece, China, Italy, Spain, Hungary, Malaysia, Poland, Georgia, Bulgaria, the United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Moldova, Canada, the United Kingdom – Northern Ireland, Portugal, Cyprus, Brazil, Slovakia, France, Iran, Chile, Mexico, the Philippines, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, Peru, India, Romania, Uganda, Angola, Czechia, Morocco, Vietnam, Slovenia, North Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina – Republic of Srpska and Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina), who presented 215 papers. Approximately 130 papers were presented in major international languages (English, Russian, Italian, Spanish, and French).
In terms of the number of authors, countries they come from, number of papers and number and reputation of the co-organizers, the Scientific Conference on the Occasion of the Day of the Faculty of Law is the largest legal conference held in this year in the Europe. Co-organizers of the Scientific conference are the European Public Law Organization, the International Union of Lawyers, and the Institute for Comparative Law.
The Conference began with the plenary session at which the world-renowned legal scholars delivered their keynote addresses. The simultaneous work in eight sections followed, where the participants presented their papers in person or online. Finally, the organizers closed the Conference, thanking all the participants and co-organizers and extending their wishes to continue this fruitful cooperation in the years to come.
The successfully held Scientific Conference is a reflection of the regional, European, and even worldwide reputation of the Faculty of Law of the University of East Sarajevo. The international scientific and research organizations and associations who placed their confidence in the Faculty of Law by co-organizing the Conference and the world-renowned legal scholars who took part in it stand as proof that our Faculty developed into one of the most prestigious and prominent institutions of legal science in Southeast Europe and beyond.
