The University of East Sarajevo has made significant progress on the international academic stage, appearing for the first time in the prestigious Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2027.
Being included in one of the world’s best-known and most influential university rankings marks an important milestone in the University’s development and confirms that the quality of its teaching, research, international cooperation, and continuous institutional improvement have gained recognition within the global academic community. This achievement is particularly significant given the steady growth in the number of higher education institutions worldwide and the increasingly competitive global higher education landscape.
The University’s inclusion in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2027 is the result of the collective efforts and dedication of its academic staff, researchers, students, and all employees across the University and its member institutions. It also reflects ongoing efforts to improve the quality of teaching and research and strengthen international cooperation.
For the University of East Sarajevo, this recognition is not only confirmation of its achievements to date but also a responsibility and a strong incentive for further progress. In the coming period, the University will continue to strengthen its research capacities and the visibility of its scientific output, expand international cooperation, promote student and staff mobility, and increase its participation in international projects.
This year’s edition of the Times Higher Education World University Rankings includes 2,297 universities from 118 countries and territories, making it one of the most comprehensive global comparisons of higher education institutions. The ranking uses 17 carefully selected performance indicators grouped into five key areas:
