On Wednesday, 10 June 2026, the University of East Sarajevo announced the Call for Applications for enrollment in the first year of first-, second-, and third-cycle study programmes for the 2026/2027 academic year.
A total of 2,218 study places are available, including:
- 1,417 state-funded places,
- 252 self-financing places,
- 380 places for international students, and
- 169 part-time study places.
Prospective students may choose from 55 first-cycle study programmes, 56 second-cycle study programmes, and 15 third-cycle study programmes offered by the University of East Sarajevo.
First-Cycle Studies
Applications for enrollment in the first year of first-cycle studies at all faculties and academies of the University of East Sarajevo will be accepted from 22 June to 26 June 2026.
Applications for all faculties and academies, except the Faculty of Medicine in Foča, may also be submitted electronically via the eStudent platform (https://estudent.ues.rs.ba/) from 22 June to 27 June 2026. Candidates who apply online are required to submit the required application documents when taking the entrance examination.
The entrance examination will be held on 29 June 2026, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
At the Faculty of Medicine Foča, the Academy of Music in East Sarajevo, and the Academy of Fine Arts in Trebinje, entrance examinations will be held on 29 and 30 June 2026, starting at 9:00 a.m.
For the study programmes:
- Dentistry,
- Special Education and Rehabilitation, and
- Nursing,
the entrance examination will take place on 29 June 2026 at 9:00 a.m., while for the Medicine programme it will be held on 30 June 2026 at 9:00 a.m.
English-Taught Programmes – Faculty of Medicine Foča
Applications for the following English-taught programmes:
- Medicine,
- Dentistry, and
- Nursing,
will be accepted from 15 June to 26 June 2026 via email at studiesinenglishmf@gmail.com.
The online entrance examination will be held on 2 July 2026 at 9:00 a.m.
English-Taught Programmes – Faculty of Electrical Engineering East Sarajevo
Applications for English-taught study programmes at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering East Sarajevo will be accepted from 15 June to 26 June 2026 via email at kontakt@etf.ues.rs.ba.
The online entrance examination will be held on 3 July 2026 at 9:00 a.m.
English-Taught Programme – Faculty of Technology Zvornik
Applications for the English-taught programme Chemical Engineering and Technology at the Faculty of Technology Zvornik will be accepted from 15 June to 26 June 2026 via email at studsluzbatfzv@gmail.com.
The online entrance examination will be held on 3 July 2026 at 9:00 a.m.
Enrollment of admitted candidates will take place from 6 July to 10 July 2026.
A second enrollment period will be organized by those faculties and academies that do not fill the planned number of places during the first enrollment round. The call for applications for the second enrollment period will be published on 12 August 2026.
Faculties and academies that still do not fill the planned number of places after the second enrollment period may organize a third enrollment period according to their own schedules, provided that all enrollment procedures are completed by 30 September 2026.
Second- and Third-Cycle Studies
Applications for admission to second- and third-cycle study programmes at the University of East Sarajevo will be open from 22 June to 16 October 2026.
Candidates may submit applications directly to the relevant faculty or academy. At the Faculty of Medicine Foča, applications for second-cycle studies will be accepted from 22 June to 30 September 2026.
Electronic applications via the eStudent platform (https://estudent.ues.rs.ba/) are also available within the same period, except for the Faculty of Medicine Foča. Candidates applying online must submit the required documentation when taking the entrance examination.
Where entrance examinations are required for admission to second-cycle studies, they will be held on 19 October 2026 at 9:00 a.m.
At faculties and academies where no entrance examination is required, candidates will be ranked according to their academic performance achieved during first-cycle studies, separately for each study programme.
Faculties and academies that do not fill the planned number of places during the first enrollment period may organize a second enrollment period, provided that enrollment is completed by 13 November 2026.
General Admission Requirements
The basic requirement for admission to first-cycle study programmes is the completion of four-year secondary education in the Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina, or an equivalent qualification obtained abroad.
All candidates applying for admission are required to take either an entrance examination or an aptitude and skills assessment, depending on the study programme.
