The international symposium “New Horizons 2017” successfully held at the Faculty of Traffic and Transport Engineering in Doboj

The Faculty of Traffic and Transport Engineering in Doboj of the University of East Sarajevo hosted the sixth scientific conference “New Horizons of Transport and Communications 2017” in the period November 17 and 18, 2017. The Symposium gathered participants from six continents, ie 18 countries, and 82 papers created by 206 authors were published.

After the welcome speech given by the Dean of the Faculty professor Zoran Curguz, the Symposium was officially opened by the first Deputy Director General of the Institute for Research and Design in Railway Transport from Moscow Jefim Naumovich Rosenberg.

Memorandums of cooperation among the Faculty of Traffic and Transport Engineering in Doboj and the University of Science and Technology from Iran and the Institute for Research and Design in Railway Transport from Moscow were signed during the Symposium.

Also, an agreement on business and technical cooperation with the firm “X Express” which was the general sponsor of the Symposium was signed.

The Symposium was attended by the General Director of Railways of Republic of Srpska Dragan Savanović, Director of the Agency for Safety of Transport of Republic of Srpska, Milija Radović, Vice-rector for Human Resources of the University of East Sarajevo prof. dr Perica Gojković, Vice-Rector for Science, Research and Development of the University of East Sarajevo prof. dr Slavisa Moljevic, as well as respected professors from Iran, South Africa, Slovakia, Austria, Finland, Macedonia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and other numerous guests.
