Experience from Romania – Žana Gavrilović

Within the framework of the Erasmus + program and the mobility of teaching staff, in the period from 26 July to 4 August 2017, I was staying at the Department of Philology, Faculty of History and Philology at the University of Alba Iulia. On that occasion I was staying in Alba Iulia, a town in Transylvania, surrounded by the Carpathians. Otherwise, the whole region is vineyard, and the white wine from this region is world famous. The city itself is not too large and is very nicely decorated and organized, and easy to navigate. The University of Alba Iulia is located within the fortress of the Roman period of reign, whose complex is beautifully decorated and for the city itself is a valuable cultural monument, and for the visitors a special experience.
From this study visit, I can only give positive impressions, and to emphasize the exceptional collegiality of the Dean of the Faculty, prof. Dr. Teodor Jordakescu, as well as other colleagues at the Department of Philology. Within the stay, work meetings were held at the Department, where cooperation in the field of scientific work was agreed, as well as joint participation in the projects. I had the opportunity to travel further through Romania and visit the cities of Brasov and Yashei, and get acquainted with the rich cultural heritage and natural resources of this Orthodox country. As a professor of a foreign language, whose teaching and lecture involves constant improvement, a study visit in Romania has been of great importance.
